News Corp unleashes digital platform for women

With news of Fairfax launching Daily Life, Mamamia introducing Debrief Daily, and Bauer’s proposed digital women’s network, News Corp is joining the fray - unveiling plans to launch a female-focused digital platform shortly.

The website - titled RendezView - describes itself as “a meeting place for news-making news”. RendezView will feature a number of daily opinion pieces, alongside additional content written by a slew of News Corp’s commentators, reporters and feature writers.

The editorial team consists of some of Australia’s leading journalists who currently write across a handful of the nation’s largest newspapers. The site’s current collaborators are set to include the likes of Natasha Scott-Despoja, Frances Whiting and Mel Buttle.

Sarah Le Marquand has been named as editor, and believes that each of the contributors brings something different to the table. “RendezView offers a unique platform via which we can showcase the talents of a diverse range of women from across News Corp who are well known for insightful, lively and sometimes controversial views that trigger conversation,” she says.
