On the back of its successful iPhone app, Sephora is further enhancing its consumer relationships with the launch of a free iPad app this week.
According to Bridget Dolan, vice president of interactive media for Sephora, the new iPad app offers a fully integrated digital beauty experience,” bringing together exclusive Sephora social content, e-commerce and an interactive catalogue, plus how-to videos.
Dolan noted the growing importance of online media in the retail sector. Digital is where we see retail going in the future and we will continue to look for ways to enhance our position in this space,” she says. According to WWD, the next step for the cosmetics retailer involves bringing iPads into Sephora’s 280 North American stores to bring another interactive element to customers’ experience.
