Who: Blair Archibald
When: 12:00pm, May 14, Carriageworks
Hair: Melvin Royce for ELEVEN Australia
Hair look:
“Blair’s inspiration for the hair today was to simply use the natural texture of the model’s hair. We went through and used our Miracle Hair Treatment as the foundation – it provides heat protection as well as hydration and a natural sheen to the model’s hair. We then went through with a Sea Salt Spray and scrunched it to utilise each model’s natural wave formation. For the girls with the longer hair we’ve gone through with an iron to give it a soft bend; and once that’s done the hair on everyone is pushed forward onto the forehead and given a finger wave and tucked behind the ears. The rest of the hair is free-flowing to give us the natural, glossy finish Blair was envisioning.”
Make-up: Mikele Simone for Grown Alchemist
Make-up look:
“The products we’re using today ar Grown Alchemist so the entire look is very skin-focused. For the boys we wanted to achieve a flawless, glowing look that made them look like they weren’t wearing any makeup at all. We didn’t want to use makeup for this look, it was all about massaging the skin and getting a natural rosiness to come through. Next we applied a gloss all around the eyes and on the cheeks which is inspired by glass. This gloss will give an ultra-shiny glass effect on runway. Because the clothes are so beautiful we didn’t want to take away from that so that’s all we’ve done. It’s all about this hydrated, flawless, glowing skin.”
Nails: Sonia Allen for Smith & Cult
Nail look:
“Today’s nails are really simple. The designer just wanted really clean, clear, buffed nails so we’re using the Smith & Cult Above It All Top Coat as a really beautiful, gel-like finish. It almost looks like crystal and we’re doing that for both the girls and guys today.”
