“The woman in mind is quietly confident, she’s a sophisticated woman and is aware of her surroundings, the hair we have created reflects her personality. It’s destroyed and oozes wealth. We have pulled it back using fingers and on damp hair used the Revlon Style Masters Modular Styling Mousse 2 and blow dried it all in. On fine hair this works wonders beacuse it gives a texture that is really gritty. We then grabbed the defining Revlon Professional Style Masters Creator Defining Gel and worked that through the top half of the hair, very loosely to create the destroyed look. To keep the hair looking modern and chic, we’ve kept the mid lengths and ends tight to the head. We wound the sections vertically because we wanted the mane to stay long and tight to the head - we did this because we didn’t want volume, we wanted the ends to hug the nape of the neck. If the hair needed more shine to it we used the Revlon Professional Style Masters Shine Spray Glamourama 0 but kept it quite light on product.”

“The look is all about the cool modern girl trapped in an old baroque traditional world. This is replicated on the face very much so because the lip is almost Elizabethan, it’s a stain, it’s quite painterly put on and it’s a beautiful rich berry tone which is symbolic of that time. The skin is super modern, really drawn back with a natural matte finish and the brow is lighter, really groomed and brushed out. The girl loves mascara so we’ve gone to town on the top lash line and that’s really her only definition, kind of like a cool Parisienne club girl. Then we’ve done a cream cheek with a pop of gloss.”
