Winter isn’t all doom and gloom: fragrance is arguably at its best this time of the year. In fact, a spritz of cosy, sensual notes is enough to have you embracing chilly temperatures rather than shunning them.
Spicing up our usual signature scent is all the more easily done with the new velvety wood fragrance from Van Cleef & Arpels. Aligning with the brand’s feminine and seductive scents, Santal Blanc Eau de Parfum highlights the unique, warm and velvety aroma of sandalwood – a precious ingredient that is full of texture.
Joining Van Cleef & Arpels’ Collection Extraordinaire, perfumer Michel Almairac explains how the most delicate and cottony facets of sandalwood are enhanced in the fragrance.
“I wanted to recreate the sensation of a soft, soothing wood oil,” says Michel Almairac. “Sandalwood, with its creamy texture, was an obvious choice in my mind because it subconsciously evokes the idea of a pure and tender white. To accentuate this facet as much as possible, I added a note of fig milk and a powdery musk accord.”
The immaculate white bottle embodies the same purity and softness as the scent itself.
