The Fragrance Foundation, a US organisation dedicated to all things surrounding bottled scents, has announced it will be launching National Fragrance Day on March 21.
“There have been a lot of these days — there’s lipstick day, there’s be kind to your mother day, or give back day…but wouldn’t it be a great thing if we could, all together, participate in fragrance day? And we are going to," President of The Fragrance Foundation Linda Levy told WWD.
The foundation is creating a Fragrance Day logo for its members to use, as well launching an entire social media campaign in the build up to the day itself. This will include posing questions to followers, such as, what does fragrance mean to you and what's your favourite scent memory. The day will also be trademarked.
Fragrance Day is part of a bigger strategy by The Fragrance Foundation to engage consumers, enhance membership and create experiences around fragrance in 2018.
