As we get stuck into men’s health week (June 11-17), it’s important to remember that “tough is not enough to stay healthy” (as so aptly put this week by AFL star Robbie Gray).
The week is designed to put men’s health and wellbeing under the spotlight, and tackle the issues affecting men head-on. It is apart of The National Male Health Strategy which will run from 2020 to 2030; and was announced by the federal government in response to the poorer health outcomes experienced by males compared to females.
While it is not uncommon for men to scoff at the thought of self-care, it’s important to know that self-care is a crucial part of feeling good.
