Each year sees Google release a list of the most highly searched topics across the globe with its Year in Search report. It is no surprise that 2014 was all about the Paleo diet, Kim Kardashian and ice cold buckets.
“Year in Search is a great window into what captured the world's attention over any particular year. It’s a combination of the things that made us laugh or cry, or had us glued to our screens,” Google Trends analyst Roya Soleimani told the Daily News.
