For most brands, the approval of Millennial consumers is almost unequivocally associated with booming sales and engaged social media chatter. But which brands do Millennials love the most?
Each year US experiential agency Moosylvania compiles a list of the top 100 brands Ys love the most, ranked*; and this year’s results have just been released. The results stem from a survey that this year had 18,000 respondents aged 18-38.
Honourable mentions go to Guess, coming in at 76; M.A.C at 60 due to the brands willingness to take a stand against social injustice; e.l.f cosmetics at 51; Michael Kors at 49; and Sephora at 48.
This year’s top ten are:
- Nike (up two spots from 2017’s list)
- Apple (down one spot)
- Amazon (up five spots)
- Target (down two spots)
- Walmart (N/A)
- Samsung (no change)
- Google (up four spots)
- Sony (down three spots)
- Air Jordan (up 39 spots)
- Adidas (up eight spots)
Speaking on the results, Moosylvania CEO Norty Cohen said: “We can tell a lot when we see new brands break through the list.
“Everyone is acutely aware of their projected on-line image. We are marketers marketing to marketers.
“As you break down the list, you’ll see a predominance of retail, fashion, beverage, cars and gaming. We have literally no one from cellular providers or beer brands, who are multi-billion dollar advertising categories.”
