Introducing AJ Clementine, the Melbourne-based YouTuber who in addition to vlogging about fashion and beauty, is passionate about creating a safe space for the LGBTQI+ community.
Sharing her life through her vlogs, Clementine talks about the importance of speaking up about mental health and living every day as your authentic self.
With over 13,000 subscribers to AJ’s personal YouTube channel, and over 950,000 content views (and counting!), it’s no surprise this social media superstar was a featured creator of the first VidCon held in Australia in 2017.
Here, BD chats with AJ to find out a little more about her…
Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got into Instagram & YouTube?
I’m a Melbourne based, pho obsessed, content creator. I started my YouTube channel because I wanted to give advice and be a voice for the LGBTQI+ community. Instagram is just a groovy app, who doesn’t love it?
What does an average day look like for you?
My days are all over the place, kinda like how my brain functions. Besides creating content for my channels, I also work as a social media manager for a University, and I model. Some days I combine all three, work on just one, or spend it in bed replying to emails.
Can you tell us a career highlight as a blogger?
Definitely being invited as a featured creator to the first ever VidCon in Australia. That was a huge “pinch me” moment.
What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
I can help people every day, not many people can say that.
Which trend is exciting you about the beauty industry right now?
Less makeup & dewy skin. That’s always been my go-to.
Who in the beauty industry do you most admire?
Michelle Phan, she came from nothing & now she owns a killer makeup brand.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
I’d probably be studying psychology and working towards becoming a psychologist.
