About the role
We are on the search for a Digital Beauty Editor for a 14 month parental leave contract. You would be responsible for managing the overall product listings database across the beautyheaven, BEAUTYcrew, BEAUTYDIRECTORY and Bounty websites in collaboration with the Listings Producer.
With constant contact with beauty and bounty media, this enables the Digital Beauty Editor to be on the front foot of all category news to be able to then cover all trade content on the BEAUTYDIRECTORY site.
This is a hands-on position and requires a “doer” who is willing to get stuck into all aspects of the business and truly care about maintaining the site’s credibility and reputation in the industry

Duties
- Prepare, research, write and upload content daily with a business focus
- Oversee the editorial schedule and daily news coverage
- Maintain on-site directories to ensure all contact details are accurate and up-to-date
- Work directly with internal key stakeholders to ensure all sites are in line with key editorial and listings strategies.
- Implement and identify improvements to site functionality and member experience
- Attend and report on media events
- Report and analyse traffic statistics
- Attend client meetings and liaise closely with the sales team in order to fulfil client briefs
- Work alongside the Content Producer to create engaging social content
- Ensure that all product listing updates are actioned within deadlines.
Skills and experience
- A minimum of 3+ years working in the media industry with demonstrated news sense
- Excellent writing and sub-editing skills
- A strong knowledge of CMS and Google Analytics
- Photoshop skills
- An eye for detail and a perfectionist when it comes to quality control
- A fast work-rate and superior ability to multitask
- Knowledge of industry contacts and PR/media relationships is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong management and communication skills
