Pacific magazines’ weekly title New Idea has come out on top of this month’s circulation and readership figures, released today.
In what was a tough year for all publications, New Idea’s readership rose 15.9 per cent since the same time last year. Bauer Media’s weekly title Woman’s Day also saw an increase year on year, having risen 4.9 per cent since March last year.
In the women’s lifestyle category, Pacific Magazines’ Women’s Health saw a 7 per cent increase in readership YOY, the only magazine in the category to have seen an increase in readership in the last year. Men’s Health performed equally well, having risen 12.8 per cent in readership YOY.
InStyle magazine is also celebrating a rise in readership figures today, having seen a 2.5 per cent increase in readership since March last year.
Pacific Magazines’ CEO Nick Chan feels the figures are positive for the publishing house. Against tough trading conditions, Pacific Magazines has delivered a strong performance to increase our share in both readership and weekly circulation,” Chan says. Our portfolio touches the lives of more than one in two – or 4.9 million – Australian women every month.”
