Elle Australia is set to be a force worth reckoning with if the team behind the soon-to-be-launched magazine is anything to go by. After recently announcing Justine Cullen as editor-in-chief, Bauer Media has today confirmed Damien Woolnough as deputy editor.
Woolnough is currently fashion editor at The Australian, and has previously worked as fashion news editor at Vogue magazine and editor of vogue.com.au.
Having worked on some powerful media brands, the opportunity to be a part of the Elle Australia team was irresistible. Elle appeals to women who love fashion, understand luxury and appreciate intelligent and exciting content,” says Woolnough. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in journalism, luxury media, fashion brands and digital platforms – with an irreverent dash of ‘homme’ – to Elle Australia.”
Cullen adds: Damien’s stellar fashion pedigree and online experience make him the perfect person to join me in leading what will be the most exciting, relevant and forward-facing fashion media brand in the country. I’m thrilled to have Damien on the team.”
Woolnough will join Bauer Media on April 22 ahead of the September launch of Elle Australia and August launch of elle.com.au.
