NZ: Big movements at Bauer Media

Following news that Bauer Media has acquired APN News and Media Limited, the company has announced the line-up for the five new magazines into the Bauer stable: New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, New Zealand Listener, Simply You Style, Simply You Living and Creme.

The purchase deal has seen a number of exciting movements to the editor positions for the new titles. After five years in the position of beauty director at Bauer, Trudi Brewer has been promoted to the position of editor of Simply You Style.

Other movements will see Sido Kitchin appointed into the newly created role of editor-in-chief at Woman’s Day and New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, Fiona Frazer will move from the editor position at The Australian Women’s Weekly to edit the New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, and Cath Bennett will take over from Frazer to edit The Australian Women’s Weekly.

Current editor of Home New Zealand, Jeremy Hansen will take on the expanded role of editor-in-chief of Simply You Living and Home New Zealand, while Kristina Rapley will remain editor of Creme Magazine and Pamela Stirling will continue her leadership role as New Zealand Listener editor.

We look forward to welcoming all of these talented teams and iconic media brands into the Bauer Media Group as we combine the best of our resources and expertise. Under this dynamic new leadership structure, we are poised to reinvigorate magazine media in this country,” says Bauer CEO and publisher Paul Dykzeul.
