Australia’s leading B2B title, Professional Beauty, has confirmed the recent departure of Glenn Silburn as commercial manager and publisher of the title. Glenn's time with the magazine encompassed two highly successful stints across 15 years.
In Glenn's place, Craig Hawtin-Butcher has been appointed to the newly-created role of group publisher. Craig is already publisher of Professional Beauty’s sister titles within The Intermedia Group – INSTYLE and SPA+CLINIC. He will continue to lead those two titles within his expanded remit.
Craig has over 15 years' experience across print, digital, social and broadcast spanning both commercially-minded branded content and straight editorial. Formerly responsible for global content output for the world's third biggest advertising agency, Dentsu Aegis Network, he has previously led social media content for brands such as Jaguar and Audi.
Craig was also a well-respected lifestyle editor and journalist in the UK for some of the world's best-known publications and brands, including the likes of GQ.com, Esquire, The Guardian, MSN, Mondelez and Heineken.
“Professional Beauty will continue to deliver the industry-leading news, views and reviews it’s so well known for in print and online,” Craig said. “But I’m looking forward to working very closely with brands, partners and advertisers to deliver innovative integrated campaigns across our platforms to help businesses achieve their goals. The industry, businesses and their customers are evolving rapidly in these changing times, and we have a whole host of new solutions to help them adapt."
