It’s not just the Australian media that’s undergoing a restructure, with Condé Nast Media Group in the USA letting 12 people go due to plans of further integrating print and digital.
Responsible for titles such as Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair, the company’s recent restructuring saw senior vice president of corporate sales Thomas Hartman and senior vice president of finance Robert Silverstone leave the company.
Publishers are also feeling the pressure following advice to cut their budgets by 10 per cent for the remainder of the year following poor sales for the September issues, according to WWD. The September issues are traditionally the most profitable for magazines at Condé Nast.
