Who: Johanna Johnson
When: 6pm, May 1. The Tent, Overseas Passenger Terminal
Inspiration: Harnessing an ancient Luxor Queen, this trance-like look is alluring, seductive yet sophisticated.
Hair: Jon Pulitano for Redken
Hair style: "The collection is a bit '20s and '30s inspired with lots of headpieces and sequins and that kind of thing, so instead of going fully with that theme, we decided to create something a little bit simpler. So we've put two little waves in at the side and tonged the hair through the back and then brushed everything over to one side, so it's just got a strong centre part and then a little bit of movement coming through the bottom. We blow-dried the hair with Rootful 06 first, just to give the hair a little bit of texture, then using a tong at the side and fixing that in with the Fashion Work 12 Hairspray. Then we've tonged the back, brushed that through, brought it over to the side and finished with a little bit of Fashion Work 12," says Jon Pulitano for Redken.
Make-up: Nigel Stanislaus for
Make-up style: "The inspiration for the show in one word: luxury. It's all taken from the ancient idea of luxury. So each model that goes down the catwalk, they're meant to look like queens. We've given them beautiful gold smokey eyes. We're going to paste the eyebrows down and fill them with golden pigment. We've created lots and lots of intense lashes that look luxurious, ample and beautiful. Everything is in abundance in this look. We've also given the models beautiful dewy skin using highlighter on the cheek bones. And finishing the look with deep red lips," says Nigel Stanislaus for Maybelline NY.
