Who: Talulah
When: 12pm, May 1. The Theatre, Overseas Passenger Terminal.
Inspiration: "Talulah’s free spirit journeys into a modernistic and romantic world, translating distinctive collections that encapsulate beauty and radiate a subtle confidence through the use of colour and texture."
Hair: Joh Bailey for
Hair style: "All we're doing is trying to make it look like they just got out of bed - the inspiration is a non-hairdo really! We're tonging the midlengths of the hair, not the roots and not the ends, and then we're just going to brush it out. Not a lot of preparation or styling. We're using a little bit of TRESemme TRES Two Hairspray and a little bit of TRESemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo - more as a styling product than as a dry shampoo," says Joh Bailey.
Make-up: Napoleon Perdis for
Make-up style: "With the inspiration and the mood behind the Talulah look, it's all about that 1960s California-cool woman. She's effortlessly chic and she's got that inner goddess glamour about her. It's really coming through the skin, so the skin's really illuminous and there's different tones coming through it. We started with our Luminizer Light Patrol Palette and we worked the silver on the really high points of the face, making sure that the light hits it so it's almost as if they have an aura about them that's coming through and then a soft bronzer effect coming up around the cheek - it's not so much a contour, it's just about a tint like when the sun hits their face. There's an upside down triangle technique that we've used in the cheek with more of a rosy tone. The reason we've done that is to give it that girlie sunkissed look, as though the sun just kissed them on the face. On the eye we've just kept with really hot mocha tones and then we've used our Contour Palette through the socket to give it a lot of warmth. A really simple brow filled in and defined at the front and then we've got fake eyelashes to give it that Victoria Secret-feel to it," says Napoleon make-up artist Nicole Snell.
"This is aspirational beauty. So clean and wholesome yet still sexy and beautiful... and totally wearable. The skin is the definition of healthy: warm and bronzed, with cream textures and a soft flush to the cheek. For the ultimate statement - I've done a double-lash Zinnia on top of Geranium for a smouldering eye. Lip is nude to balance the eye," says Napoleon Perdis.
