Hair style: "The hair today needed to carry a really youthful vitality to it, but it also has that lovely feeling as if she's been out at an late-night rave or out in the bush somewhere. It's got that look as though the morning dew and mist have started to settle on her and it's started to bring the hair down a bit. Any curl that was there is starting to fall away and she's just gently tucking her hair behind her ears. The idea of ears being exposed in this design is really a big part of it so it has that really casual style to it. We first blowdried the hair using Redken Guts 10. We blowdried at a really low volume and we put in a really low side part so it comes down towards the corner of the eye to give it a nice, romantic feel. We then went back through the hair with a curling iron and curled in a soft spiral, so it gives that really nice very low movement to the hair so it looks like quasi-natural. We then went through using Guts again, we started to section out the hair and push the Guts into the hair so it gives the impression of hair that has had mist settling on it. We then pinned the hair into place, weaving it out a little bit on the left hand side so it has that innocence to it and then showing the ears, pin it round and then let it dry naturally. There's a slight gapping at the front too so the hair's not perfectly raked across the face. The reason we do that is to give it that post-party feel," says Phillip Barwick.

Make-up: Liz Kelsh forMax Factor

Make-up style: "The Watson x Watson girl has her own individual style. There are lots of key pieces, it's not just about following one particular trend - it's about creating your own unique look. We wanted to reflect that in the make-up. First we started with Max Factor Second Skin Foundation that gives a really flawless but natural finish. It's all about the gold texture in skin. We've used the Colour Precision Eye Shadow to give a gold reflection in the eye. Then we've also used it as a highlighter on the cheekbones. The real trick to the make-up is the Flipstick. It was ideal to use for the show because the Watson x Watson has her own individual style and Flipstick is all about wearing your lipstick your way. Each girl is going to have a customised lip to tailor the colour balance of her face and cheekbones. It's a nudish lip with a deep pink stain in the middle of it and then a gold line around the outside. Just a few of the girls are having some face art created with the Flipsticks," says Liz Kelsh.

"We've got two colours that we're using, we've got Care to Dance from the New York City Ballet collection and then we've also got Glow - with the nails getting dipped in a gold finish to them. It's a dry brush and a little bit heavier on the free edge and working lighter towards the cuticle area," says OPI director of educator Sharon McKendrick-Taylor.
