Who: Karla Spetic

When: 9 pm, April 7. The Runway, Carriageworks.

Inspiration: "Tells the story of the formation of the pearl. Starting as a foreign body and eventually transforming into a precious gem, the pearl is a magnificent creation of nature, and the beauty of its creation is echoed through the colour palette and textures of the spring range."

Hair: Shane Henning for Goldwell Dualsenses

Hair style: "The inspiration for Karla was that she wanted that inner-city London girl, she is pretty groovy and hip and she has a slick but casual 'I don't care' kinda look about the hair. The inspiration was pearl colours and tones so we have used pearl colours in the hair. The look we wanted was a wet look where she looks like she has just left the pool, and she's a corporate girl as well, but she's quickly put her hair up. It has a little bit of slickness to it but we don't want it to look like it is over done, it's the wet look. The most important product we used to prepare the hair was Hot Form Spray, from the Style Sign collection, and that is used as a great heating and styling product. It is great for just getting a nice finish and texture to the hair, and it is a multi purpose product. You can use it for straightening the hair, curling the hair, and just giving a nice finish to a blow dry. Then what we have used  just to really give a wet, glossy look is the Elixir Oil Treatment, which is a beautiful enriching product that gives it shine and also gets absorbed into the hair to condition and protect it. We have finished off with some Styling Spray," says Shane Henning.

Make-up: Kiekie Stanners for

Make-up style: "We wanted the girls to look really fresh and athletic so the skin is really creamy and really dewy. There are lots of pops of white highlights everywhere. The collection is quite geometric and strong, and because they are walking around the pool we wanted the make-up to tie into that, so it is all reflective and glowy and highlighted, which ties into the idea of the water and serenity and reflection off the water. With the skin, we used a product called M.A.C Natural Radiance in Radiant Pink, which is a primer that has got a pink reflect underneath it, that makes the skin look glowing to begin with. We have used Face and Body Foundation that is again really lightweight to look like skin, and the highlights are with Luna Pearl Creme Colour Bases, a cream highlighting product on the tops of the cheek bones and down through the centre of the face. The white liner on the eyes is Pure White Chromaline that is waterproof liner and underneath the eyes we have a 3D silver M.A.C Glitter that is mixed in with Reflects Pearl, so it is really crystallised and super sparkly underneath the lights. To finish off they are going to get a little bit more gloss on the skin, to tie into the wet look there is going to be a little bit of gloss with the brows and on the lips," says Kieke Stanners.
