Hair: Scott Sloan for
Hair style: "The inspiration is a raver girl with a strong tribal feel. It is very multi-ethnicity of not necessarily Indian or African but just something very raw and tribal. The idea was to keep the hair back from the face, as the make-up is very strong, and we really wanted natural cave woman, undone hair that was very viney and textural. We have used a combination of braiding hair and lots of different combinations of plaits - the common two strain plait and fishtail braids, doing them very haphazardly throughout the hair and grabbing sections at a time, plaiting them through and letting them fall wildly amongst each other. We have been working with the Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS Session range, that is the new Black range for Schwarzkopf Professional. It is designed especially for backstage and show work. The reason it works so well is because it is actually all about the layering of products, and they are very multi-textural, from sea salt to a light spray and stronger spray. It is about layering the product to create the texture that you want," says Scott Sloan.
Make-up: Nicholas Morley forĀ
Make-up style: "The make-up is inspired by a trip to India. Eastern mythology, we were inspired by Sheeva and Hindu deities, also hints of symbology coming from Alchemy. Because it was a dance we wanted it to have a rave spirit to it, hence the bright colours. The all body blue is Sheeva - because we were going to have one girl doing a solo we wanted her to really stick out so we thought, lets just paint her blue! All the colours are a product called Chromocake, and they are applied by mixing with water or Fix Plus, and you can apply them with a sponge, which is basically all the colour and shading. The glitter that we are filling in the paper stencilled areas with on the forehead is called Reflex," says Nicholas Morley.
