(M.A.C NZ) just keeps adding to its stable of top celebrity and designer collaborations, with news the brand is teaming up with fashion label Proenza Schouler on a make-up collection.
This isn’t the first time the two have worked together, with M.A.C creating looks for Proenza Schouler’s runway shows each season. This collection will mark their first official mass market collaboration.
The limited-edition collection will be available in April next year and will include ombre face powders, lipsticks, eye liners, lip pencils, nail polish, and a 129SE powder brush. Packaging will be inspired by a past Proenza Schouler collection and the campaign will be photographed by Mario Sorrenti.
We wanted to create something that the Proenza Schouler woman could relate to off the runway, and the M.A.C brand is so deeply rooted in fashion that we knew they would understand our vision,” says Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.
M.A.C creative director and senior vice president James Gager adds, I have always respected Jack and Lazaro’s keen vision and point of view. We’ve worked together backstage creating beauty looks for their runway shows for many years and it has been fascinating to me watching them evolve.”
