Sephora reveals all about its Australian store

With interest in Sephora’s launch into the Australian market at an all-time high, the beauty giant has this week revealed the details its future customers have been waiting for.

The stockist announced the exact location of its Australian flagship store - which is due to open in Westfield Sydney, Pitt Street Mall, in December - together with details of the brands that will be on sale.

The Sydney outlet will be the largest Sephora store in the Southern Hemisphere and will stock Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tarte, Kat Von D, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Andre Fullerton, Boscia, Skin Inc, For Beloved One, Formula X, Percy & Reed, with more brands to be announced in the coming months.

It will launch its official Australian Instagram and Facebook accounts on September 1.

The announcement comes after a series of false social media accounts offered misleading information to the Australian market regarding the Sephora store launch.

Sephora released a press release advising that information or views expressed on such sites was wrong.

We regret the action taken by this particular individual(s) and we wish to apologise to our Sephora customers for having been potentially misled by information posted on these platforms,” says Sephora Australia country manager, Fiona Novak.

Though imposter pages have taken many steps to appear ‘official’, they will never be able to capture the spirit and personality that is Sephora,” adds Novak. We are truly excited and we are looking forward to being able to engage directly and accurately with our Australian consumers as we head towards the future.”

Sephora will launch its Facebook and Instagram channels officially on Monday September 1 at www.facebook.com/SephoraAus and @sephoraaus respectively.
