Dr Jurgen Klein and his wife Ulrike always believed in the healing powers of nature, so when they founded Jurlique in 1985, their vision was to produce a pure and natural skin care range combining the ancient arts of alchemy, herbal medicine and homeopathy.
The botanist and the biochemist wanted to reconnect people with nature but during the 1980’s this was easier said than done as beauty products came from the lab, not the land. Despite this they refused to step away from their goal, harnessing all their energy into creating products of true health.
With the belief that nothing manufactured could come close to what nature could provide in beauty products, they left Germany in search for the purest place on earth finding it in the unspoiled Adelaide Hills in South Australia.
