NZ: Rebecca Purdy sells bare.pr

She’s been at the helm for nine years, but owner and director Rebecca Purdy has sold bare.pr in order to focus more on her other company, The Generalist PR. With natural beauty at the core of bare.pr, Purdy founded The Generalist PR to represent clients who did not fit under that umbrella.

The business has been bought by Katie West, who has vast experience in the media industry across marketing, advertising, promotions and sales. She has also spent 10 years working in the FMCG sector.

“It’s been almost a decade that we have led PR in the natural space and it’s been a fantastic time. The ‘eco space’ has come a long way in nine years, with many more brands coming into the market on a daily basis. I have decided to sell bare.pr to better focus on The Generalist PR,” says Purdy.

West adds: “I feel very privileged to come into a business which has a real purpose and focus.  The team is small and tight-knit with a mix of long-term and new clients and a fantastic reputation with both clients and the media.

“I have big shoes to fill in replacing Rebecca as she has built a great business, which is unique and provides a personal service with great client ethics. It will be business as usual with the staff continuing to be fabulous as I find my feet in my new, big shoes.”

bare.pr general manager Bianca Talaic will move with the sale of the company, along with account manager Megan West-Hill and PR coordinator Sylvia Opajdowska.
