LUSH opened its new flagship store in Melbourne Central on Thursday, September 15th revealing the new and improved eco-store.
As part of LUSH's mission to ‘leave the world lusher than we found it’, the new flagship store has been designed with repurposed furniture alongside ethically sourced and durable materials.
"Sustainability and the ethical sourcing of materials at the forefront of not only the ingredients that go into the fresh handmade cosmetics, but also the design and construction of the beautiful and innovative stores," said LUSH retail operations manager, Amy Irvin, speaking with guests at the event.
The new store has been designed with a variety of recycled and repurposed materials including countertops using post-consumer waste, from yoghurt posts and plastic packaging as well as more energy efficient LED lighting.
The store was decked out in pink to celebrate the opening with guests celebrating with pink cocktails, fairy floss while having fun in the stunning pink bathroom installation with candy-coloured bubble bath and a LUSH-stocked gumball machine.
