The BD team look at the effect of some brand-spanking new eye products on the market.
Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit
Meghan Trainor may be all about that base, but Kelly Lee is all about that lash. I absolutely adore a thickly framed peeper without the fiddliness that comes with applying falsies. I was so pleased when the Instant Lash Extension Kit by Physicians Formula came into my life. Its flirtatious ability to lengthen, thicken and blacken my lashes with its cheeky wand is something else. One coat of fibres with two coats of mascara on top, and I’m over the moon with the results. - Kelly
ulta3 A/W Metallics Limited Edition Collection - Metallic Cream Eyeliner
As a colleague pointed out this week, I really love a slick of eyeliner. So I know what works – sue me! That being said, I do like mixing up the products I use to get that look. The ulta3 A/W Metallic Cream Eyeliner in Black is a goodie I’ll be pulling out for parties, or whenever I need a peeper pick-me-up. Its creamy formula glides on smoothly with very little effort, and as for the hint of sparkle? I’m a fan. Maybe I’ll experiment with the gold one next… #adventurous - Katia
Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara
As a fan of the lush-lashed 60s icons Penelope Tree and Twiggy, I feel naked without mascara. I have long loved Laura Mercier’s creations and her Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara has taken my fan-girl obsession with the brand up a notch. The wand features a multi-limbed brush that works to separate and elongate each lash, covering each in just the right amount of black mascara. The end result? Doll-like eyes any screen siren would be proud of. - Sarah
Paula’s Choice The Nude Mattes Eyeshadow Palette
This is one of those products that converted me in a second at its launch event. While I hear about new and innovative products every day, I still get so excited by some, I rush home to try them out for myself. The Paula’s Choice The Nude Mattes Eyeshadow Palette is a case in point. The palette features 11 matte shadows and one highlighting shadow - with colours perfectly chosen to complement your eyes (as for me, I'm a brown shadow kind-of-gal). Designed in collaboration with popular YouTube make-up artist Wayne Goss, the shadows are blendable and buildable, making them perfect for an eyeshadow novice like myself. This little number has now become my go-to palette for an evening out. - Yelena
WONDERSTRIPES
I'm a low maintenance sort of girl, and when it comes to my beauty routine, I generally prefer a more natural look. So when I was asked if I'd like to try WONDERSTRIPES it sounded perfect - an easy to apply, non-invasive solution to help lift older, and slightly droopy eyelids! I was pleased to find out the strips are relatively easy to apply. Basically, they lift your eyelid, making your eyes appear bigger and more youthful. You simply apply a 'stripe' to the crease of your eyelid and boom, good -to-go! I didn't feel that I needed to use make-up once they were on. I think WONDERSTRIPES is a clever invention. The results actually surprised and delighted me, so I'll be using them again for sure! - Jackie
