bdTrial: Time to face the music

We’ve let them go on for long enough, it’s time for the BD team to battle our current beauty issues head-on!

Issue: Sensitive skin

The French are good at many things (namely cheese and couture) but they are particularly good at creating beauty products. Embryolisse is no exception – the brand has a cult-like following in top models and MUAs alike. Its hero product is undoubtedly the Lait-Crème Concentré, a gentle as anything moisturiser formed from natural plant extracts that soothes irritated complexions while boosting hydration levels tenfold. - Sarah

Issue: Weak hair

My hair often gets very dry at the ends, especially in winter, which often leads to breakage and very obvious split ends. Trialling the Hask Strengthening Shine Oil – Bamboo was a dream as it gave my weak locks some moisture without weighing them down. It can be applied to wet or dry hair and the bamboo oil, biotin and collagen have already strengthened my hair, I feel like it’s looking its best! - Laura

Issue: Bowel discomfort

Among family and friends, I’m known for two things: my bluntness and ‘tummy issues’. For years I’ve struggled with a sore tummy and some pretty revolting symptoms we don’t need to talk about. Doctors have run countless tests, all with one conclusion: irritable bowel syndrome. You really can’t do much for this health issue, but I find Brauer’s oral spray really soothes my symptoms. Compact for your bag and pretty inconspicuous to use, I highly recommend this product for other ‘tummy issue sufferers’. - Kelly

Issue: The common cold

The last 12 months have seen me get an unusually high amount of colds – and while I keep promising my family I’m going to get the flu shot, I haven’t got around to it yet. But I do have another secret weapon up my sleeve – Blackmores Cold Combat Multi Symptom Relief. Targeting blocked and runny noses, sore throats, coughs, headaches, and fever – these tablets have got all bases covered. As I’m not a huge fan of taking any type of medication, I like this offering as it delivers a more natural alternative to traditional cold and flu tablets thanks to being formulated with andrographis – an annual herbaceous plant. - Yelena

Issue: Stretch marks

Embarrassing to say (I’m sure a lot of females can identify with me though), but I have a heap of stretch marks. Namely on the areas of my body which differentiate me from the male species – my Shakira-popping hips and 12B-size breasts. I used to be self-conscious about the stretch marks on those areas because I always thought, well, I simply can’t get rid of them, but that was before I was made aware of the revolutionary skin technology in Stratamark. It works by allowing the skin to normalise the collagen synthesis cycle, while moisturising and protecting the skin. - Sophia
