Kate Hudson is the latest Hollywood star to lend her face to a beauty campaign, and the brand is one she's been a longtime devotee of – La Mer. An avid user of the luxury skincare products, Hudson first used its moisturiser when she was in her teens: “I immediately knew that it was a huge change from what I’d been using on my face, and was forever hooked," she said.
The actress and entrepreneur now finds herself fronting the brand's latest campaign – 'Ways to Love La Mer' – a global initiative that personifies the virtues and versatility of its iconic moisturisers. She features in five short films that were shot in various locations across Iceland, "…a country chosen for its breathtaking aquatic geography punctured by waterfalls, mineral baths, lakes, oceans and glaciers," reads a media release from the brand.
"Shot by French filmmaker Loren Denis, a Hudson favourite, the films feature the award-winning Hudson reflecting in moments of solitude by the water on her adoration and deep connection to the brand. These musings unravel like a love story, in five parts."
The campaign launches with La Mer’s latest moisture hero: The new Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream. A lightweight formula that soothes and calms the complexion, the new product delivers moisture with the renewing energies of the Miracle Broth, a nutrient-rich ingredient at the heart of every La Mer treatment.
The campaign launches on March 1, 2018.
