SKII launches influencer-led campaign

FULL STORY: Chiara Ferragni Face the Wild, Face the Camera Ι SK-II

The Italian blogger behind The Blonde Salad, Chiara Ferragni, has been selected as one of four faces to front SKII’s “Face the Wild | Face the Camera, Extreme Expeditions” campaign.

SKII partnered with National Geographic to create four short films, each shot in extreme conditions wherein the SKII ambassadors would “put their skin to the test” using SKII’s Facial Treatment Essence.

Ferragni, in addition to Kasumi Arimura, a Japanese actress; Nini, a Chinese actress, and Lee Si-young, a Korean actress and national boxer, travelled to the extreme climates where they would spend the day testing their skin, before partaking in a photo shoot.

The locations in question included the Yanbaru jungle in Okinawa, Japan; the active Ijen Volcano in Indonesia; the Anza Borrego Desert in California, and the Changbai Mountains in North East China, which has below-zero temperatures.

This isn’t the first time Ferragni has worked with SKII, as she signed an annual contract with the brand last year; however, until her renewal this year her role as an ambassador only saw her working within a local capacity - posting to social media and attending events.
