As a self-professed product junkie, my list of favourites changes every week. While I would love to do a weekly series on what I’ve been loving, I do think it would get quite redundant, which is why, I’ve compiled my most loved products into a monthly edition.
From skincare to home fragrances, there are so many things that land on my desk, but only few make the cut. Do I try everything? Yes, and I have some harsh skin reactions to prove it. Testing out product and sniffing new scents is the most favourite part of my job, and it also means that when I love something I’ve compared it to the hundreds of items that I’ve tried prior.
So if your current beauty stash is begging for an update, then keep reading, because here are all the things I just can’t get enough of this month.
Glasshouse Fireside in Queenstown Candle
This limited edition candle by Glasshouse is exactly what I want my home to smell like in the cooler months. You may have guessed from its name, but this candle evokes a warm atmosphere as if you’re sitting in a cosy cottage while it’s snowing outside. With notes of cinnamon, clove, sandalwood, orris and guaiac wood, the Glasshouse Fireside in Queenstown candle is a must in my humble opinion. It’s also cheaper than a flight to Queenstown.
Lush Cup O’ Coffee is one of my all-time favourite face masks, and I’m not even someone who gravitates towards face masks often. The ground coffee beans help brighten up my complexion while the gritty texture removes any dead skin sitting on the surface.
Lady Jayne 100% Boar Bristle Brush
Lady Jayne 100% Boar Bristle Brush helps tame any flyaways and gives me the most sleek, Kendall Jenner-esque ponytail. I have thick, unruly hair, and I refuse to style my locks without this brush.
Arbonne Botaniques Concentrated Shower Gel
Arbonne Botaniques Concentrated Shower Gel has quickly become one of my favourites because of its cooling properties. Containing aloe vera, cucumber extract and chamomile flower extract, this shower gel leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and squeaky clean.
Hear me out - I know Urbane Mess is technically a brand catered towards men, however, the brand’s Grooming Wax is perfect for sleek updos. The product tames any flyaways and gives the hair a stunning sheen.
If you had told me a year ago that I would be using a serum specifically formulated for my neck I would have laughed at you. But now that I’m 28 and seeing the first signs of aging appear in that area, I’m desperate for anything to fade those fine lines. Enter the Boost Lab Neck Firming Serum. Just as the name suggests, this serum is meant to improve the elasticity and firmness of the skin on your neck, and take it from me - it works.
Sunday Riley B₃ Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum
When it comes to skincare brands, Sunday Riley is in my hall of fame. Every product I’ve ever tried just *works* and the new B₃ Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum is no different. I’ve only been using this product for two weeks now but my complexion already looks and feels clearer. Plus, the 10% strength helps even out my skin tone and reduces the look of surface redness.
No7 Laboratories Line Correcting Booster Serum
Like a lot of people, I suffer from dehydrated skin during winter, but thankfully, this product has been a saving grace. The No7 Laboratories Line Correcting Booster Serum is a deeply hydrating serum that reduces the appearance of stubborn lines and wrinkles, and, it isn’t sticky like so many other serums on the market.
