Everyone has a beauty product they gravitate towards time and time again, but imagine owning your own beauty brand and being responsible for product formulations from beginning to end.
It only makes sense for beauty brand founders to love their own products, after all, they have played a huge part in bringing everything to life. Which is why, we chatted with three founders and asked them to tell us out of everything they’ve created, which one is their favourite and why.
Monique Char - founder of DU’IT
Favourite DU’IT product: VE+ Vitamin E Face Cream
Why: My go-to moisturiser that I use morning and night, is our DU’IT VE+ Vitamin E Face Cream. I like the less-is-more approach, so I’m all about clean healthy skin. I love this moisturiser because it’s lusciously thick, it sinks in immediately to my skin and instantly leaves it feeling hydrated and soft. Aside from moisturising and healing benefits, the high potency of Vitamin E active (antioxidants) in this product means it prevents oxidative damage to cells by helping to remove free radicals and it also helps to strengthen the skin’s barrier function. It's an all-around “workhorse of a product”.

Favourite Antipodes product: Flora Probiotic Skin-Rescue Hyaluronic Mask
Why: My sensitive skin gets red and irritated easily, so I use the Flora Probiotic Skin-Rescue Hyaluronic Mask a few times a week to restore calm and take the redness out of my skin. It also gives an absolute drenching of hydration – often if skin is red, it’s a sign that it’s parched, so it needs lots of soothing water. I love Flora for that, plus it feels lovely and soft on my skin.

Why: SPF. It’s the number one go-to product for me and should be for everyone else too, with its ability to protect the skin. Favourite LYCON Cosmetics product: Time Out Night Cream
Why: My favourite is difficult to choose, as each product is necessary and exceptional. But if I had to choose one, I would choose the Time Out Night Cream. It contains so many outstanding ingredients, including the super hero Yeast Beta-Glucan. What’s more it doubles up as a day cream for most skins, as well as an eye cream and neck and décolletage cream. With the Adaptive Skin Science Technology, it is suitable for all skins. It is nourishing and rejuvenating for older skin, and it combats and protects against early ageing.
