If you were to throw your mind back to 2016 you might remember the freckle tattoo craze. People flocked to cosmetic tattoo artists to have a smattering of freckles permanently marked on their faces for an eternal sun-kissed looked.
Now, a new trend in freckle-tattooing has emerged. Introducing ‘astrofrecks’ — a new style of freckle tattoo that translates your astrological sign on to your face.
Created by cosmetic tattooist Jessica Knapik, she suggests the technique is a way to subtly honour a loved one or relative, or commemorate your own star sign.
If you’re an astrology lover and feel like trying the trend, but are hesitant to commit, Knapik explained to Bustle that cosmetic tattoos are semi-permanent and fade over time. Further, it won’t just look like a collection of dots, Knapik blends each zodiac constellation with other tattooed freckles.
