Four Australian hairdressers have been named Cream of the Crop” by hairdressing legend Vidal Sassoon.
Hairdresser Matt Clements of Assembly Hair on the Sunshine Coast was awarded Outstanding Winner in The Sassoon Snapshot Competition, of which Vidal Sassoon CBE was the sole judge. Clements was one of four Australian hairdressers honoured, with Craig Smith of Fruition Hair in Brisbane also a winner and his colleague Kate Rawnsley and Scott Sloan of Sloans of Lane Cove named the runners-up. Other winners included hairdressers from the UK, Slovenia and Belgium.
The competition, run by The International Hairdressers Journal based in the UK, saw more than 200 hopeful hairdressers apply from across the globe. Entrants were required to upload personal collection images that had been inspired by the man who changed the world with a pair of scissors”.
