Key beauty insights from Priceline

Priceline delivered key insights into the Australian beauty market yesterday at their Beauty Club event, with information delivered on what products have been successful in 2012 and what will be trending in 2013.  

Priceline skincare buyer Anna Ischia revealed the best-selling products for the company in 2012, including:

Cosmetics

1. Nude by Nature Mineral Cover (which was the highest selling SKU in Priceline’s total business)

Skincare

1. Klorane Dry Shampoo

2. Lash and Brow Colour in Dark Brown

4. Instant Volume Powder

5. Tools Bun Maker

Big sales trends were BB creams, dry shampoo, rosehip oil and nail art. Priceline also revealed trends for 2013 will be salon-influence products, prestige products being offered by mass-market brands, false lashes, dark spot correctors, hair tools and nail art.

Beauty trends for the new year include velvety skin, skin perfection, bold lips, long full lashes and liners with glossy finishes.

Priceline fragrance buyer Kerry Baxter also revealed the company’s top selling fragrances of 2012 which were:
