made its debut at Paris Fashion Week last week, sponsoring the beauty look at the Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2012 show. In addition to creating the burgundy-black eyes and contoured cheeks, the brand had global spokesmodel Joan Smalls walking the runway.
Estée Lauder creative make-up director Tom Pecheux oversaw the look worn by 30 models in the show, while manicurist Christina Conrad and her team ensured nails were buffed and polished with a new Pure Color Nail Lacquer.
Pecheux said Vaccarello’s sexy” collection inspired him to create a Paris by night” look, with a heavy focus on the eyes. For me, the eyes represent the Parisian woman, it’s her signature,” Pecheux said. The focus is on the eyes – black with a touch of burgundy and smudged, and a lot of mascara. I added a touch of gloss on the eyelid for an overall glamorous, imperfect, ‘lived-in’ look.”
