Entries are now open for the Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards 2013. Not only does 2013 mark the awards’ 28th year, it also sees the addition of two new categories: Men’s Hairdresser of the Year and Emerging Hairdresser of the Year.
The Emerging Hairdresser of the Year award will offer stylists a stepping-stone between the current awards of New Creative Force and Hairdresser of the Year, while the Men’s Hairdresser of the Year award will allow those who focus on male hairdressing to be recognised for their efforts.
Hair Expo’s event director Julia Erben said the new categories were brought in to offer artists the widest scope for recognition possible.”
The Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards have become synonymous with Joey Scandizzo takes out Hairdresser of the Year. They are the longest running and most respected hairdressing awards in the Southern Hemisphere, and are only set to grow.

Those wishing to enter must then complete and submit the entry form, available online, and once it’s been received, Hair Expo will email entrants the questionnaire template and detailed specifications for that category.
Entries close at 5pm Friday, March 1, 2013. The winners are announced in June 2013 at the Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards Gala.
