With news of its arrival Down Under first announced in August last year, the Australian editions of luxury fashion magazine 10 and 10 Men finally landed in newsstands on Friday.
With former Harper’s Bazaar and Grazia editor Alison Veness-McGourty at the helm, the new bi-annual magazine is highly opulent.
A joint venture between 10 Magazine Australia Pty Ltd and Zac Publishing Ltd in the UK, the launch issue of 10 is a solid 260 pages and has two different covers to choose from.
There is definitely room [in the market] for a luxury fashion magazine. We are quite specialised and all about the catwalk. Other fashion magazines cover different areas, there’s travel, beauty, art, where as we talk from one voice,” Veness-McGourty told Mumbrella.
Earlier Veness-McGourty revealed in a media release: 10 and 10 Men is a natural fit for Australian consumers who are internationally renowned for their love of fashion and have a thirst for luxury across all platforms. 10 is an independent, free-thinking and credible fashion destination among a plethora of formulaic, celebrity-obsessed publications.”
