The latest advertisement for J’adore stars some unlikely faces alongside brand favourite Charlize Theron. Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich have all been digitally revived for the campaign, which was directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud.
Filmed in Versailles’ infamous Hall of Mirrors, the ad sees Theron arrive backstage to a Dior fashion show, where the likes of Kelly, Monroe and Dietrich are preparing to take to the catwalk. Theron then walks the catwalk in a striking gold evening gown, all to the sound of Gossip’s hit Heavy Cross”.
Like Dior’s previous advertisement starring Oscar-winner Theron, this one is high-energy and undeniably glamorous. The actress herself reportedly told the Telegraph, It was incredibly glamourous and fantastic. I don’t think I’ll experience something like that again in my lifetime.”
