The past couple of years have seen some major changes in beauty blogging. This new platform of beauty journalism has literally grown before our eyes to become more popular than ever.
Reacting to this growth, beautydirectory has attempted to make it easier than ever for our members to navigate through our blogger directory to find bloggers suited to their brand or product. This came in the form of verified” and non-verified” blog listings, which divide our blog directory into those that have provided us with site statistics and those that haven’t.
If a blogger hasn’t provided us with statistics, it doesn’t necessarily mean they have low traffic figures – they may just want to keep their stats private, or they may be using a different tool to measure their traffic (such as statcounter.com). To keep stats consistent across our listings, we only accept Google Analytics figures for our verified blog listings.
This week marks another step in recognising those bloggers that beautydirectory has verified, as we have introduced the bd verified blogger” button. The button is designed for those bloggers that are listed in our verified blog directory, and is available in three different formats, so it can be uploaded to their blog easily.
If you’re a brand or a blog-reader, keep an eye out for beautydirectory’s verified blogger button on the pages of blogs. If you spot it, you know that you’ll be able to find more information, traffic stats and contact details for that blog in our directory.
If you’re a blogger and are interested in obtaining a verified blog button for your site, email Lucy so that we can ensure you fit all verified blog criteria.
