Gamble pays off for Sigourney Cantelo

After Sigourney Cantelo bid goodbye to Vogue in June this year to work on her website, Beauticate, it appears the gamble has paid off - with the beauty journalist already posting successful results.

Following its official launch three months ago, Beauticate has already hit 30,000 unique monthly browsers. The site’s social media following is also growing rapidly, with Beauticate reaching over 11,400 Instagram followers since its soft launch in February.

The results have been propelled by the Beauticate team’s interviews with popular celebrities including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Anja Rubik, Jessica Gomes and Montana Cox. More high-profile celebrity stories will be rolling out in upcoming weeks.

“I’m thrilled with our results. I knew that our readers were highly engaged but it’s particularly heartening to see the evidence in our Google Analytics data,” says Cantelo.

Assisting Cantelo on Beauticate is Madeleine Boyd (ex-Vogue Australia and Broadsheet), Chrisanthi Kaliviotis, Lauren Rose Burke, Amanda Chan and Nicola Donovan as well as crews in New York, London and New Zealand.

In other Beauticate news, the site’s team has recently relocated to a new office in North Sydney. All mail and couriers can now be addressed to: Beauticate, 43 Whaling Road, North Sydney NSW 2060.
