The top ten magazines on social media ranked

The USA Association of Magazine Media has ranked the top magazine titles across social media. After analysing consumer engagement across Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram platforms, they found the number of page ‘likes’ and followers on Instagram is growing rapidly for titles devoted to fashion, beauty and travel. In contrast, general interest magazines are gaining more ‘likes’ and followers on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

In a report that incorporates SocialFlow data from August to late October, the National Geographic pulled the most followers on Instagram, with Vogue and Playboy coming in at second and third place. Facebook’s top three titles were National Geographic, Playboy and Time, while Twitter’s were National Geographic, Time and The Economist.
