Last night, the much-anticipated Myer Autumn/Winter 15 fashion launch took place at Mural Hall at Myer Melbourne, with and both called on to work their magic for the show.
Myer ambassador Jennifer Hawkins opened the show, followed by fellow ambassadors Kate Peck and Kris Smith and a host of models wearing both Australian and international designers.
Representing KEVIN.MURPHY, James Nicholson and Wade Blackford relished their roles at the helm as co-hair directors for the show. “The main influence for this year’s hair look was thick, healthy, shiny and natural hair; an ode to the 70’s runway,” says KEVIN.MURPHY founder Kevin Murphy.
“The focus for the look was natural shine and making it look effortless so the hair didn’t appear overworked. It has a real European elegance. It’s every girl’s dream hair.”
The runway make-up also had a 70s vibe. "I've aimed to create a look that's perfect for everyday, but easy to up your glam factor for nighttime. The look that I have created for Autumn/Winter 15 focuses on taking what seemed effortless in the 70's, for the likes of Jane Birkin and Cher, and making it sharper and more structural, for a modern make-up statement,” explains Napoleon Perdis founder Napoleon Perdis.
The make-up look focused on natural, doll-like eyes, with a full brow, linear definition, feathered lashes and shading through the socket. Lips had a sweep of colour, and skin was made to look like it does after a morning cleanse - fresh and gently illuminated, with soft highlighting and a slight flush.
