Mamamia Women’s Network names team for new site

There may have been a slight hiccup in the launch of Debrief Daily due to Bauer Media having an issue with its name, but things are well and truly back on track for the site. Not only has Mamamia Women’s Network secured Yahoo!7’s head of editorial Anne Markey to edit Debrief Daily, but the site is also on target for its planned March 21 launch.

Markey has over 25 years of experience in both print and digital, with previous roles at News Corp, SBS, Fox Studios and Yahoo!7. Markey will be joined by senior editors Sarah Macdonald and Bernadette Morley, with Dina Kluska working across both Debrief Daily and Mamamia as senior features editor.

“I’m thrilled to be launching Debrief Daily and working with the Mamamia Women’s Network who I consider to be Australia’s most dynamic digital publisher,” says Markey of working on the new site, which is aimed at women aged 40 to 60.

Speaking to AdNews, Mamamia Women's Network national sales director Kylie Rogers adds: “We obviously had the hurdle of Bauer and that fell in our favour, so we’re on track to deliver and we’re delivering for a March 21 launch. We have an amazing editor, amazing contributors that are going to deliver absolutely what these older women want, and a site that talks to them in a real and engaging way.”
