He’s built up an impressive resumé in the Australian publishing industry, and now former Bauer Media publisher Peter Holder is making the move to the Daily Mail Australia, where he will take up the position of acting managing director of the site.
Holder will be replacing Mikaela Lancaster, who is reportedly moving to Asia, according to mUmBRELLA. Holder’s appointment is a six-month contract stipulating that he will oversee sales, marketing and operations. Editor Luke McIlveen will continue to oversee editorial.
Among his past roles, Holder was the launch editor for Sydney Confidential and founding editor for GQ Australia and Men’s Style. He has also headed up Bauer’s joint publications with Hearst Media International, which included titles such as Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and also Madison.
On top of this, Holder was formerly the publisher at Australian Consolidated Press, where he looked after Woman’s Day, TV Week, Take 5, OK!, NW, CLEO, Dolly, Shop ’til You Drop, Rolling Stone, Empire, Men’s Style, Zoo, People and The Picture.
