With titles such as general manager of consumer marketing at Edelman, associate director at Ketchem, and account director at Gabrielle Shaw Communications under her belt, PR guru Fern Canning brings a wealth of experience to any role - something Mango Australia is only too aware of. The PR company has just announced Canning as the new managing director at Mango, replacing Claire Salvatti, who joined One Green Bean in February.
With plenty of experience with major international brands, having worked with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Peroni, and Audi, Canning was most recently in charge of the NIVEA account in her role at Edelman.
DDB Group Australia CEO Andrew Little is excited to welcome Canning into the fold. He said in a statement: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Fern’s experience and PR acumen to Mango and the DDB Group. She has an impressive list of consumer brands within her portfolio and as Mango continues to push the barriers within the consumer, experiential and digital space, Fern’s vision will ensure that Mango continues to lead this space.”
Canning says of her new role: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead such an impressive agency as Mango and harness the immense scale for integrated communications working within DDB Group. Mango continues to be the agency to watch, not just within the PR space but the broader industry. The talent and skill they have on board, as well as the enviable client list and award-winning projects, makes me truly excited about the future.”
