As Myer Emporium and Westfield magazine editor Jessica Parry heads off on maternity leave, Bauer Custom Media reveals it has appointed beauty director Michelle Bateman as acting editor across both titles.
With Bateman stepping into her new role, Yasemin Trollope will cover the beauty pages for the magazines as contributing beauty editor. Both appointments are effective immediately and will continue until October 2015.
Bateman has extensive experience at the helm of magazines, having previously held editor positions at Foxtel magazine and the Coles Beauty and Health magazine.
“While I’m already missing the beauty scene, I’m very excited to be stepping into the full-time acting editor role at Bauer for the next six months. I’m also thrilled to have someone as experienced and lovely as Yasemin Trollope as contributing beauty editor over this time,” says Bateman.
“With a circulation of 250,000, Myer’s quarterly Emporium magazine is the largest fashion title in Australia, while 350,000 copies of the Westfield magazines are produced twice a year. Between them, that’s more than 1.7 million copies targeting beauty- and fashion-obsessed women (and men!) around the country each year.”
