H&M debuts new beauty concept

After announcing in January that it would be introducing a beauty line later in the year, H&M has just unveiled a teaser of its first collection of grooming products - a 700-strong one at that, expected to expand into 1000 pieces shortly after its release.

Rolling out into 900 stores across the globe, H&M Beauty will see make-up, bodycare, nail and hair care offered to clientele in dedicated areas within H&M stores, as well as online. Prices will sit between $US2.99 and $US24.99.

H&M Beauty’s concept designer Sara Wallander says of the range’s debut: "We are very excited to launch H&M Beauty. It's an opportunity to be inventive, creative and to have fun with colour that inspires us."

Wallander says the brand concept behind the collection is “fashion for the face”. In a similar style to its garment creation, the Swedish retailer has confirmed the beauty range will be inspired by the different trends and colours of each quarter, with the brand commenting fans can expect “seasonal drops of new and limited edition colour palettes throughout the year.”

A premium beauty line and an eco-conscious range of sustainable products will also be a part of H&M Beauty’s offerings expected to hit stores in September this year.
