After a global agency pitch involving 16 countries and multinational competitors, COTY is thrilled to announce HM Communications Group has retained the COTY cosmetics media account in Australia.
The announcement comes on the back of news ZenithOptimedia will be handling Coty’s global media communications business for print and television, with Australia exempt from this arrangement.
“COTY Australia and Hyland Media have enjoyed a unique partnership for over more than 14 years. This journey together has seen COTY Australia grow from $15mm annual turnover to a business approaching $200mm, delivering performance outcomes that are recognised as amongst the best in the COTY world,” says COTY Australia managing director Gavin Blackburn.
“We are a dominant market leader in fragrance and nails and hold a very strong third position in colour with growth trajectories continuing to outpace the market. We are the number three global market for Rimmel and Sally Hansen. Our results are inextricably linked to the services and support of the HM Team. They are an extension of our marketing team.
“HM live, eat and breathe our business 365 days a year, they lead the way in innovation. The owner of HM, 15 years on, continues to have personal oversight on all initiatives. The HM team includes the best specialists in their fields and their network of support services are unrivalled. Our success is their success and we look forward to our partnership continuing long into the future.”
HM Communication Group principal and founder Virginia Hyland adds, “We are thrilled to be able to continue working with COTY and their impressive marketing team. They are willing to think outside the square and were open to us challenging the status quo throughout the pitch process. We are looking forward to continuing our long partnership with Gavin and all of the COTY team.”
