Can you tell me a bit about your career history?
I have over six years’ PR and marketing communications experience in London and New Zealand, working on international communications along with UK and NZ media relations. My last role was press officer at L’Oréal UK and Ireland looking after the integrated marketing communications for L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, Garnier and essie.
I am a Kiwi, and my beauty PR career started at Pead PR in Auckland, where I was the beauty PR account manager for L’Oréal in New Zealand. There, I looked after Kiehl’s, Redken, L’Oréal’ Paris skincare, L’Oréal Paris haircare and hair colour, and all the Garnier brands.
What attracted you to the position at Cosmax?
The opportunity to work at one of the beauty industry’s fastest-growing companies on a variety of iconic global beauty brands across skincare, make-up and fragrance. It synergised with my skills, knowledge and passion for beauty PR.
What parts of the job are you most excited about?
The variety of projects in the Cosmax Prestige portfolio of 22 luxury beauty brands such as Burberry, Bulgari, Shiseido, Guerlain, Valentino, Alaia Paris, Jimmy Choo fragrances (just to name a few). No two days will be the same. I’m looking forward to working closely with industry leaders, the Cosmax team and international teams on each of the Cosmax Prestige brands and drive results for the brands. We’ve had a sneak peek of what is in store next year and there are some ground-breaking launches that we look forward to launching to press, bloggers and vloggers.
What are you hoping to achieve in the position?
High-yielding media relations campaigns and consistently increasing the PR values year after year. Push the boundaries, do things differently and create opportunities for our spokespeople and make-up artists. Ensure our luxury portfolio of brands are top of mind for customers in Australia, drive them in-store through PR and let our customers enjoy a memorable beauty service like no other.
